From Andy Suszek on how the PSP changes based on a student's performance on the Baseline exam:

No matter what the result of BRB, the assignments in the Entire Course view will not change. So, no assignments are trimmed no matter what. What does change is the information the ISAAC recommendations engine has to work with. Once BRB is complete, ISAAC knows the student’s best and worst subjects. If the student gets behind, ISAAC will recommend more assignments in the student’s worst subject than it will recommend in the student’s best subject. If the student never gets behind, there is no problem, and the student just sees everything in recommendations. But if the student is a bit behind, did well in BRB Torts and poorly in BRB Contracts, that student would be more likely to have ISAAC recommend the Contracts Capstone Set than the Torts Capstone Set.
